Pre-Mardi Gras Weekend

This year, I'm missing New Orleans. Last year, I spent about two weeks there and I loved it. I was really lucky!

Next week is Mardi Gras. I was telling some friends last night that I want to try my hand at a home made King Cake (brioche wreath filled with cream cheese and topped with sprinkles? Yes please!) and maybe a lovely Sazerac cocktail before Ash Wednesday rolls in.

On another note - but somewhat related to going big before next Wednesday, how awesome do these pancakes look?
