Sunrise Cycles

Last night, Troy invited Mr. W and I to view a cafe racer built by his friend Kosuke, proprietor of Sunrise Cycles. Sunrise is just down the street from where we live in Echo Park.

We loved his space as much as we loved his work! I boldly asked if I could take photos of his shop - I'm working on a project at the office which delves into the workshop lifestyle.

His space and his work is very inspiring - makes me consider a life apart from my desk. XOXO

Back wall - I was tempted to see what was upstairs, but because I had just met Kosuke, I didn't want to overstep my welcome. Next time! I love his collection of helmets!

A project in progress.

Even the tools looked like an installation.

Old school shop chest - reminds me of the Dewey Decimal system or an apothecary chest.

Metal shavings akin to my beloved pencil shavings.

A machinist's desk.

File cabinet and spare parts.

A service sign from an old Ford dealership in Hollywood.
